Hi everyone! After three failed marathons I finally managed to finish one again. No new PB but my goal was sub 3:30 and there we go. This is also the entry ticket for Boston 2018 (not decided yet but it’s not unlikely).
The first half went pretty well, and I may have gone a bit too fast maybe (4:35-4:40). Things became harder after the HM mark (1:37-something) so I tuned down the pace a bit (in the 4:50’s). From 30km it tuned really nasty because my calves began to cramp every now and then, so I had to stop every 1-1.5 km to stretch my legs. The overall pace for the last 10k was really slow. But hey, finished is finished.
Stats: official chip time 3:29:24, 5th of my age group (of 39), 73rd of all men (360).
